That is so 1940! Coming from a country with extensive experience in building and busting bunkers,I think in nearly year 2010 this is a utterly waste of resources, including the money that did not went into building them itself. My guess would be that theses bunkers will just crumble, when hit with everything bigger than Chinese fire cracker. Why not invest the money in the schools and in better relations with the neighbours?
Well there is always money in concrete, that no doubt explains the bunkers.
This is not unusual or new. It has been going on for years. In recent years, each time there is a spat with Cambodia, the newspapers and television usually show school kids building these or running into them. |
