As always with any system the IRCTC website is pretty slow, does not respond and sucks a lot of time out of you. But, you have settled for it because of the lack of options and its better than standing in the queue. It is year 2008 and India 2.0 have experienced web 2.0. This system which we thought was great, already sucks. IRCTC is not enough for us. We want something to represent India 2.0. In a classic web2.0 style, Thomas Cook has launched its site for train ticket booking. You can book your train tickets and there is a whole host of other services. But booking a train ticket is really a breeze. You don’t have to log in to check the availability and the prices. I guess this internally invokes IRCTC, but this is much better and faster. You can see all your available trains, routes and the prices. This, I guess is something most of you are waiting for. Go check this out, and let me know about your experiences.
