Founded by Hitesh Dhingra of Delhi, Cafegadgets brings all the gadgets you ever need under one roof. All you need is a computer and an internet connection to buy that Nokia N96 you wanted. With the comfort of home and online reviews just a click away, you couldn’t have asked for more. You can also compare the products with other online shopping sites. Cafegadgets boasts a list of 75 brand owners in IT and digital lifestyle segment. It has more than 4000 products on sale. Cafgadgets has partnered with 63 e-commerce sites to bring you a wide range of products. It currently serves 120,000 customers. You can use your credit card to make the purchase. EMI facility is also available on ICICI Bank Credit Card. The products are guaranteed to ship within 7 days of purchase. The products come with the manufacturer’s warranty and ships free. Cafegadgets makes its money through the transactions and advertisement sales. This eTailer is not without competitors. Indiaplaza.in and Futurebazaar.com are its major competitors. However there is one key difference. Cafegadgets as the name suggests sells only electronic items. Indiaplaza and futurebazaar sell almost anything including electronic items.
I also looked for Apple iPhone and Cafegadgets did not return any results. This really surprised me. Indiaplaza came up with both 8GB and 16GB versions with 1 year Airtel lock. This to me is a dampener for a company which specializes in gadgets. Not having the most sought after gadget is a cardinal sin. Indiaplaza fares better than Cafegadgets in the product mix. Cafegadgets should increase their product mix to survive. If you think this startup is hot go to Tata NEN page and vote. You can alternatively send an SMS with “HOT 25” to 56767.
