Companies worldwide are facing unforeseen contingencies. Some even don’t what has struck them. Future does not hold good for any of them and no sector is immune. Most of the companies have talked about right sizing or have already fired people. Once you have fired your people and you have the leanest of the lean organization where do you go for cutting costs? There could be many areas where costs can be cut. One such area is the business travel. Business travel consumes a lot of company’s resources. In this increasingly globalized world business travel is all the more important. So, how can we resolve this paradox? If the world was really flat we wouldn’t be having this problem. The next best solution is telepresence. Cisco is leading this market and many companies are thinking about this new technology. It is a good thing that world is moving forward in terms flattening the world even further. Telepresence might just expedite the process. Sure, the technology is expensive but with the cost pressure everyone is in, you might actually walk away with a deal from Cisco. To put things into perspective watch the video below.
