Bankruptcy and bailout are the  most popular words in 2008 - other than Obama of course. Bailout is simply this - I screwed up help me out.  But the porn industry bail out is quite the opposite. I will let your imagination run.

This is really funny guys. Larry Flint ‘the hustler guy’ who owns the Hustler magazine along with another popular dude are asking for a $5bn dollar bailout. That is like 4 or 5 Satyam’s. They do have a point though. Sex is as important as a car. If the congress is bailing the car guys out, why not bail the porn guys out. In fact American tax payers would be more than happy to do that.

On the similar lines - Why can’t India bailout Satyam?

Yes Raju has overstated profits. And yes Satyam is not the 4th largest IT company and it never was. On paper the company might be zero value as some analysts think. But, what did the employees do to deserve a fate like this? They still have active projects which they are working on. This amidst the chaos and media circus.

Now Infosys is a saint. They are not hiring Satyam employees. I mean WTF. What sin have the employees of Satyam has committed? Can Mohandas Pai guarantee that every employee in Infosys is a saint? I bet he can’t. Infosys is riding too much on the company culture rhetoric. There is no such thing as company culture. People adapt to whatever company they work for.

Everybody is distancing themselves from anything Satyam. Everyone is in a wait-and-watch mode. What is there to watch? Your stupid breaking news on the TV. What would the law suits be if there is no company? If you are so damn worried about the law suits then split the company and sell it off. Or else pay the salaries of the employees and they will keep the company running.

May be I am simplifying things a bit. But that is what everyone should do.

My tax money is going into petrol subsidies, farm loan waivers and fertilizer subsidies What sin did IT commit?  Let us give IT subsides and bail Satyam out. I don’t mind.

Can someone lend half a  billion dollars to get Satyam back to normal?
