BharatMatrimony.com, India’s premier matrimonial site with 15 million members has launched facial recognition search. You can upload the picture of your dream girl and find the profiles of brides matching with the facial characteristics of the person in the picture. This would actually kill the competition if it actually works and if others don’t follow soon.
I am not too sure how easy or difficult it is to introduce face recognition software for others to follow. But, face recognition - seriously? What were you doing all these years? Why wasn’t it launched 4 or 5 years ago? The time period used for generation gap would have been 10 or 15 years in the past. Now, it has reduced drastically. 5 Years looks like a generation gap to right now. BharatMatrimony is a part of Consim Info Pvt Ltd which is an Internet conglomerate. Other website’s under Consim’s umbrella are : ClickJobs.com, IndiaProperty.com, IndiaAutomobile.com and IndiaList.com This is the second news or innovation from BharatMatrimony in less than a week. Earlier it has tied up with IDEA cellular to provide free access to its matrimonial section. In the past it has launched EliteMatrimony.com for the super-rich and celebrities. Nice going. PS : Ladies - Please don’t throw the MCP jargon at me. You can upload Shahid’s or Shah Rukh’s picture and pick a groom. I am sure there will be lot of faces like that.
