After whatever happened at Satyam computers imagining a best managed company few months back would be a little difficult. Not that they don’t exist but there is too much cloud on the whole management stuff.

Some even made radical statements that many skeletons will come out. But, this list of top 50 best managed outsourcing vendors is a big relief. An Indian company, HCL topped the list of best managed outsourcing vendors which is a good news for Indian IT.

Oracle followed by Xerox are among the top 3. Infosys came in 4th in the list. This is a little bit of surprise (at least to me) as Infosys was the best governed company and should ideally be best managed as well may be ahead of HCL. Governance and management are slightly different things but a best governed company would automatically be a best managed company.

Genpact, iGate, Patni. NIIT, TCS and Mastek are the other Indian companies which made it to the best managed companies list.
