69-year old Cha Sa-sun, who famously took the driver's license exam 950 times before passing, took the wheel at a driving hagwon in Jeollabuk-do at the end of last year.

That grin on her face says "Now it's MY turn to cause a 42-car pileup in clear weather and no advisory!"

I can see if someone has already had a license all their life and they need to be re-tested because they are getting old, but I just don't see how someone ALREADY at an age where driving becomes more difficult can be allowed to get a license.

At that age, without years of experience behind the wheel, the driving reflexes are not there and will never be learned. At least if you've been driving for 30 years and need to be re-tested you'll have 30 years of muscle memory and experience behind the wheel.

My granddad is in his 80's and still drives, but even then, despite him having 60 years of experience behind the wheel, I am NOT comfortable being in a vehicle he is driving. Luckily, he is re-tested yearly now, so I know he'll be taken off the road when he falls below certain standards.

I admire her for her persistence but for anyone to fail such a simple test that many times is just ridiculous; there is only a limited number of questions to answer and if she cannot master that amount of information, she should not be allowed anywhere near the driving seat - she is obviously going to be a risk to herself and anyone else that is within distance of her. Come on authorities, surely even you guys can work that out?
