On the 17th Judge Kim Jong-mun of the Jeonju District Corts Second Criminal Division sentenced 48-year old Mr. Kim to three years in prison and four years of probation for sexually assaulting an elementary school girl.

The judge also ordered Mr. Kim's personal information be made public for five years.

In his opinion the judge wrote, "the defendant sexually molested a young girl after pretending to clean off dirt on her underwear while she was playing in water... However, the court considers that the defendant has admitted his fault and deeply self-reflected during his confinement, and has reached an agreement with the victim's parents."

Mr. Kim was indicted for forcible molestation for approaching 10-year-old A at approximately 2 pm on May 5 and touching her bottom as she was playing in a river in Wanju-gun in Jeollabuk-do.
