On the 12th the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul applied for an arrest warrant for 37-year old Mr. Jo, who has a third-degree brain disorder, on charges of repeatedly sexually assaulting his daughter. According to police, Mr. Jo called his daughter, whom he had previously sent to an orphanage, to Seoul in April and placed her in a yeogwan before sexually assaulting her three or four times Investigators found that Mr. Jo, who got divorced from his wife in 1997, encountered difficulty in 2000 and placed his daughters, then aged 7 and 4, into an orphanage. In September of last year the orphanage, aware that the daughter had become pregnant, reported Mr. Jo to a one-stop aid center but at the time he denied all accusations and she was returned to him for lack of evidence. Mr. Jo then submitted to DNA testing which confirmed him as the culprit in December and was caught today by police for questioning.

What a sicko... You have to wonder where all her other family members were during these events. -.-
Any idea what a 3rd degree brain disorder is?
she was returned even though she is underage and pregnant? Why didn't they do DNA testing then?
You shouldn't intrude on private family matters.
Annonymous, It's because people have mindsets like yours that victims of rape and abuse at the hands of their family members daren't speak up. Your ignorance perpetuates such crimes.
Uh, Sam, that was the stock answer of any Korean you asked about such matters as recent as 10 years ago, even police. Methinks Anonymous was using subtle mockery of the old attitudes. |
